We just returned from Santa Rosa Beach, FL which was a week in our own little paradise! After having to drag all of our crap to the beach last year I finally convinced Kyle to rent a house right on the beach this year. It was the best decision. I honestly don't think anyone was ready to come home- Jackson asked if this was our new house. No son, we did not win the lottery! We are so tired from travelling but I thought I'd share some cute photos (so many to choose from) and recap our trip. We pretty much got up, ate breakfast and headed straight out to the beach. Jackson and Kyle had so much fun playing on the beach and digging for clams. I spent most of the beach time with Caroline trying to convince her that the sand was not supposed to be placed on top of her head. Pretty much she was covered from head to toe in a matter of seconds of hitting the beach. But that's ok- going to the beach is a sandy, messy experience I had to remind myself every day. Many showers were taken daily- but that's ok too I guess. Jackson wore his shades day and night (as you can see in the photo at breakfast)- and yes, we even let the child have fruit loops for the first time in his life (that's what vacation is about, right? good ol junk food). He called them the colored cheerios. I just hope he can deal with real life tomorrow morning when his cereal choices will be Kashi and Raisin Bran!! We shopped, explored other beach towns and ate so much food (and consumed beach beverages of course!). Anyway, we are back and getting ready for summer here in Atlanta! Hope everyone has a nice Memorial Day weekend!

Scooby Dooby Doo, where are you?
So sorry to have not posted in a while. I did write a long post a week ago and something happened with the website and I lost it all! ugh! Anyway- here's our latest family update.
Caroline had her follow up appt. for her tubes last week and everything looked great (yay!). Today she passed her hearing test with flying colors (double yay!). She also went through a cold and did not get an ear infection, which is huge considering she pretty much ended up with one after every cold this winter. She is now sprouting 2 new teeth and I think they are *just* about ready to pop on through.
Jackson is great- we had a birthday party filled weekend 2 weeks ago in which he met...scooby doo! Does he know who scooby doo is? nope. Never seen one episode in his short little life. But he did tell me a few days later that scooby doo lives in our neighborhood! (the party was at our clubhouse and scoob came out of the bushes) I'll attach a photo. He looks scared in the photo but he really was good about the whole thing. We had a spiderman incident about a year ago that was pretty traumatizing. On Monday I will be attending a Mother's Day brunch at his school. Then, speaking of traumatizing, next Thursday is the Spring Fling which showcases each class from the school. Last year there was alot of crying and pleading and no singing. I'm hoping experience will get him on that stage because I want to see it (and videotape of course)!
Oh- and I have to mention the soccer trophy. Soccer is officially over for the spring - Jackson is sad, he was just really getting the hang of it. He will definately be playing again in the fall. And he got a trophy for participating which is huge to a 3 year old!
Our family is on beach countdown- we leave on May 18th for Santa Rosa Beach on the gulf in Florida! 9 more days...
