Wow. The last week has been so bad and good all at the same time. Here's a recap-
The bad: the whole family got hit with a stomach bug. It affected each person on a different day (I guess that is a good thing?) and lasted 48 hours each time. Definately the kids were able to bounce back quicker than us adults- we still are being a little cautious with our eating/drinking.
The good: We got a new puppy!! She is 22 months young and came from a breeder in McDonough. They were keeping her to breed, but she had not gone into heat so they had to let her go (thankfully, to us, we love her!). Her name when we got her was JuJu (like the bean) but we weren't crazy about it and renamed her LuLu (tried to keep it close to her original name). It's going quite well- Guinness has accepted her and the kids get along with her really well. She is so sweet and still has a lot of puppy playfulness.
The good and bad: Caroline spotted a "pink princess potty throne" at Target this week and promised that if I bought it for her she would go pee-pee on it. I did buy it and told her that when she was ready to use it we would open it up, but that it was not a toy for us to just play with. Well, we got home and she immediately wanted to show Daddy (who was home from work with his stomach bug that day). We brought the box in and she immediately held herself and said that she needed to go pee-pee. So we opened it and sure enough, she did! The rest of the day went great and I thought we were on our way. Well, the next couple of days were crazy with end of the school year stuff for Jackson and mother's morning out for her so we were out of the house and the potty zone for awhile. I just couldn't get her back to the potty- which is completely my fault by not staying home for a couple of days straight and really working on it- but there was just no way with our busy schedule, the new dog and sickness going around. So after about 12 pee-pee accidents within 2 hours and a pee-pee accident on MY bed, I decided to put the potty away. I'm hoping this summer we will be able to bring it back out and devote a couple of days to really staying home and working on it for good.
